STEP 2
Now I am going to make a duplicate layer of the selection. As my highlights are still selected so I am going to Layer>Duplicate Layer (Ctrl+J/Cmd+J). This will copy my highlights onto a new layer. After that I am going to change the Blend Mode to Screen. This will make my highlights more bright.
