Create Instagram Nashville/1977/vintage effect in Photoshop CS6 | TrickyPhotoshop

Hello guys I am Vaibhav and in this tutorial I am going to show you how to make vintage effect or Instagram’s 1977/Nashville effect in Photoshop CS6. Last time I discussed about Creating an iPhone App Icon Using Photoshop which is an extremely important tutorial for graphic designers. You can also check out all the Instagram Effects here. More than millions of people uses Instagram for photo sharing which revolutionizes the photo sharing platform as Flickr does in PC. If you own a smartphone and have Instagram app in it than there you can just download it from Google Play or Appstore and give your photo that look within seconds. But if you don’t have that than don’t you worry. We have Photoshop which give your photo vintage/1977/Nashville effect and even more than that.

STEP 1

Open your photo in Photoshop. Press F7 for the layer’s palette. In the bottom of the layer palette click on the add adjustment layer and and then click on curves. As you have seen on the vintage effect that the highlight area is overexposed and the shadow area in underexposed. So I am going to give that look alike effect via curves in Photoshop.

In the curve box, modify the settings as shown below.
