STEP 5
Create a new layer by either going to Layer>New>Layer or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+N/Cmd+Shift+N. Grab Rectangular Marquee Tool from the tool panel or press Shift+M again and again until it comes. Using Rectangular Marquee Tool, create a rectangular selection as shown below.
Invert the selection by pressing Ctrl+Shift+I.
