Remove Shadow in Photoshop | TrickyPhotoshop

Hello guys I am Vaibhav and today I am going to talk about How to Remove Shadow in Photoshop. Last time I discussed about boosting a color or fixing a dull image using Color Balance which is really helpful for landscape photographers. To visit that article click here. In this article I am going to use layer panel and brush. This tutorial is really a simple one but highly time consuming because we need to airbrush the entire shadow.

STEP 1

The very first thing we need to do is to create a new layer because we don’t want our retouching to be destructive. To create a new layer you can go to Layer>New>Layer or you can simply press Ctrl+Shift+N/Cmd+Shift+N. Rename the newly created layer to Shadow. To check whether your new layer is successfully created or not, go to Window>Layer or you can press keyboard shortcut F7.

STEP 2

Now grab the Brush Tool from the tool panel or you can press Shift+B again and again until it comes.

STEP 3

Now change the Brush Blending Mode to Lighten. To learn more about the blending modes you can refer this article.
