Step 3: Use Color Range to Select the Green Color

Go to Select>Color Range. You can select a specific color using this tool.

Open the tool and choose the “Add to Sample” which is highlighted with the blue rectangle.

Start clicking on the green color in the image and do it until the entire green in selected. You can preview which portion is selected and which one is not using the preview in Color Range tool. Whatever is selected will be highlighted with white color and whatever is not will be highlighted with black color.

Press OK once it’s done.

Step 4: Refine the Selection

Time to invert the selection. This is because we selected the green color but we want to keep everything except the green color. Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + I to invert the selection.

People who are using the Photoshop CC 2017 and newer version, go to Select>Select and Mask
People who are using the older versions, go to Select>Refine Edge.

Refine the selection after that. You need to tweak settings.

Press OK when done.

Go to Layer>Layer Mask>Hide All
