STEP 14

Now in the layer panel press and hold ctrl/cmd and then click on the layer which contains your text i.e. TrickyPhotoshop. This will select the entire pixels of the TrickyPhotoshop.

Now add layer mask to the “layer 2” by clicking on the add layer mask which you can find at the bottom of the layer panel.

Now you can see that the stars we created in our initial steps are not colored anymore.
