STEP 6

Now change the blend mode of “Dodge” layer to overlay.

Grab to Dodge tool from the tool panel or you can press Shift+O again and again until it comes. Now apply dodge tool over the area which is highlighted with red color.

Your image should look like this.

Note that the area where we applied dodge tool became brighter.
